Hypnotherapy / Guided Imagery in Brief:
Hypnosis is a normal and natural mental and physical phenomenon.
Being
hypnotized is much like being in a daydream.
Hypnosis is a relaxed state of mind, body and spirit.
Each person will experience their own level, or depth, of relaxation.
No
two people experience hypnosis in exactly the same way.
While in a hypnotic state you can talk
and move.
While you are hypnotized, should you become aware of a situation that requires your
attention, you will become alert, awake, and aware and function normally.
Every time you are
hypnotized you become more deeply relaxed and the suggestions given to the subconscious mind become more powerful and more
effective for you.
Hypnosis is not sleep. You are awake during the entire process.
Your mind may wander, and usually does, during a hypnosis session. This is quite normal. Each time you are hypnotized
your mind may wander even more.
Hypnosis is not mind control. Your mind will do for you only
those things that you want for yourself.
There is absolutely no chance that you won't come out
of hypnosis. That would be as impossible as never coming out of a daydream.
